Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 lbs. or pieces of chicken
  • 5 cups of water or you can use chicken broth
  • 1 lb carrots
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 3 celery stalks [must be finely chopped]
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley [minced]
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium chicken soup base
  • 1 large red onion [finely chopped]
  • 2 green onions [chopped finely]
  • 2 bay leaves or you can add according to your taste
  • Salt and pepper [add accordingly]

Preparation method

So, we are going to cook homemade noodles and first and then we will prepare chicken soup separately and we will server them together.

Homemade Noodles

To make homemade noodles we will need 1 cup of sifted flour, ½ tablespoon salt, 1 egg beaten and 1 to 2 tablespoon water or you can use milk if you want.

How to prepare homemade chicken noodles soup?

  • First, make a well center mixture of egg and flour on a big size bowl and add water and salt onto it. Make it a stiff paste.
  • Now turn dough on a flour work surface and knead until it becomes very smooth and nice balls. Cover it and let it take rest for 5 minutes.
  • After that roll it and make thickness 1/8 inches and try to make it as little and long rolls. Or one can use a pasta machine to do this job which will let you make this same size and looks great.
  • Now allow it to dry for 1 hours.
  • So our homemade noodles are ready, now it’s time to make chicken soup, to make chicken soup you need to add all the ingredients for chicken soup that I have mentioned above on a crock pot and make it boil for 1 min and then slow down the flame and let it boil for a long time.
